The challenge
The existing site suffered from comment spam that exceeded monthly hosting bandwidth limits (509 errors). Zotero publication feeds were broken, events were improperly published as blog posts, staff profiles lacked publication cross-links, and email accounts consumed 25 GB of hosting capacity.
What we did
Rebuilt on Divi with page-by-page content restructuring.
Integrated the Zotero publication library into a redesigned Resources section.
Implemented The Events Calendar (migrating legacy event blog posts) with save-to-calendar features.
Built bi-directional linking between staff profiles, news, and academic publications.
Applied DarkWatch Shield, custom login URLs and 2FA, and disabled global site comment spam.
Delivered a 2-year quarterly maintenance plan, Maintenance Care Reports, and a staff training guide.

The outcome
Google Search Console monthly clicks increased from 450 to 4,500. Bandwidth issues were eliminated, and email storage was audited for Microsoft 365 migration.
